Turbo Timer on a wrx?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I have an WRX 06 model and I wanted to know if mostly all WRX of any model have turbo timers? I know a turbo timer is as good as sitting in a car a few minutes after driving and does the same thing but when I finish driving sometimes I have to get out straight away. Also how bad is it to switch it off straight after driving? Does anyone know any places in Perth that you would recommend?

Cheers

Adam

I think if you drive it normal its ok to turn it off straight away but if you drive it hard you should let it run for a few minutes before turning it off

Waste of money, u less you are thrashing the shit out of your car all the way home and into the driveway then don't bother, of it was that crucial they'd come equipped with them from factory

Wrx's have a built in mechanism that allows you to swich the car off straight away even after thrashing it.

That's what I've read from a Rex forum but not too sure if that was the sti variant or all turbo models

Yeah I have also heard that they really mess around with the alarms.
