This product uses the genuine Siemens ethanol content sensor which is OEM factory fitted to eFlex/e85/ethanol cars. will the Ethanol Content Analyzer kit work with Nistune

The Ethanol Content Analyzer kit (ECA) works independently of the ECU so it'll 'work' with any ECU to analyze and display your ethanol content. If you want the ECA to 'talk' to your ECU then unfortunately the Nistune can't do it because it doesn't have aux input.

I want to know more about this ethanol content analyser. You say you can use this product without having a dual map ECU so you can run e85 and regular 98. I have power fc, so if I install this device to talk to my power fc (which doesnt have dual mapping capabilities) how can I switch from one mode to the other? Does this device store a map in it for the two fuels? I'm confused.

 

Also how does the ecu adjust its tune in real time depending on the reading of the ethanol analyser if its talking to the ecu? Hoping I'm making sense here. Thanks...

Hi there, sorry about the real late reply, the notifications are buggy for us but better late than never.

 

 

The ECA is a standalone unit - it doesn't matter what ECU you have (Power FC works fine) it will install and work all by itself - it will analyse your fuel and calculate the exact percentage of ethanol in your tank, and digitally display it for you. Then with that info you can adjust your settings or add in more ethanol or add in more petrol so that you don't run too rich or too lean, because as we know, the ethanol mixes from the pump aren't very reliable.

 

 

Now what really gets our blood pumping is that we can install, configure and tune this device to "talk" to advanced aftermarket ECUs via auxiliary input so that the ECU can change it's own settings depending on the percentage of ethanol in your fuel. It's not a simple "dual maps" where you push a button to change from one tune to another tune in the ECU, it's more like "infinite maps" where we command the ECU to constantly change it's own settings.

 

Essentially, the magic is that we can now configure and tune the ECU to be "infinite maps" and "self switching" so that ALL percentage of ethanol mixes will run both safely AND to give you the best power for that E%. All you do is put in whatever fuel you like or can get your hands on...

- going racing? Fill up with drum e85

- cruising the local streets? Fill up on eFlex

- near a united petrol station? Top up with pump e85

- going for a road trip? Drop in some 98

- not near an ethanol pump and running low on fuel? Drop in some 98

 

There's no need to drain the tank or run it to empty or any of that, just fill up and thrash out :) the ECU (Power FC doesn't work here) along with the ECA will take care of everything, headache free. We have some cars already running this and they are loving it! (that's why we became pro dealers for this stuff)
