900hp SR20VET S13

Recommended Posts

Bit more tuning, less boost and more power. Next stop will be WSID next year! Gotta say it really eats the road now on drag radials!

SR20VET

Precision Turbo on 6Boost manifold

Custom cams

E85

No nitrous

Modified Xcessive Manufacturing plenum

Bosch 2000cc injectors

Haltech PS2000

Don't mean to sound like a killjoy but please don't pick my brain for specs! Happy to tell you about drivability if you're interested. It drives well :thumb:

Enjoy :)

Very impressive I'm assuming it's for grip/drag at that ridiculous power?

Yes, sure is, some track days are on the long term list too once I'm satisfied at the drags on a tad less boost :)

What's the lifetime expectancy on engines that have ridiculous power going through them - if you don't mind me asking.

It just seems through laws of equilibrium, the harder you push it the less it has to live.

It has been a development process of finding the recipe to take it, but to give you some idea, my last SR lived on pretty serious power, ran mid 9's and is still going strong 3 years later.

The aim is to make this engine as reliable as the last one.

One night out in this car is more than a years worth of racing in drag only SR20's, particularly since it gets driven on high boost.

I thought that too, but I think 900 is at the flywheel and 812 at the wheels.

Yes Dre, it was in the drag battle on Motive 11 and 13.

900hp is a conservative flywheel estimate and 812hp obviously atw ;)

I've owned the car for many years now and bought it to be my getaway from reality, so as a weekender and occasionally drive it to work.

Should go fast, went 9.6 @ 144mph with 609hp at the wheels

Time will tell...
