S15 gearboot surround

Recommended Posts

So im just wondering, i have a differnt gear boot on my jdm s15 that i cant seem to find else where, it doesnt include the surround with the shift pattern it is simply the boot, attached to a yellow plastic ring that is hidden.

The other version appears like this post-29622-12535157825078_thumb.jpg

question is does this silver section just push into the dash like my boot? or even better does anyone have the bottom side angle of one of these?

I will get pictures of mine up

That silver section just clips into the dash yes, sounds like yours has been modified/ has an aftermarket boot?

Not too sure on the Happy pants bro! I'm guessing they are your legs in the photo?

Can't you take a photo in the day? the photo is too dark.

The very top one is six speed, the one in chadchook's second post is five speed.

+1 it's not custom. end of story. I've seen it & we have fitted it in my S15. If we could just confirm what the feck it's out of so I can get my hands on one!

Looks like the normal factory 5-speed gear boot found on s13/s14 silvia's. I also beleive that the JDM S15 spec S had the 5-speed gearbox instead of the 6-speed (Which would mean it would also have the 5 speed gear boot). Ok, 3 questions:

1: Do you have the 5-speed gearbox or the 6-speed?

2: What gearknob does your shifter have?

3: Is your JDM S15 a spec R or a Autech S15 ?

Fair enough, looks like a poor effort from Nissan then

The box changes the surround by the throw of the shifter.

I've got a 5 speed box in my Spec R, converted from auto. The throw of the shifter would foul against the six speed surround.

I don't believe the surround from S13/S14 will fit on an S15 surround, due to the shape of the hole. Happy to be proved wrong though, Google image search is being gheylord.

Can take a pic too, if required for further confirmation.
