First thing I've done is pick up an S15 HLSD that should be better for the street and the track until I can afford a 1.5way. I need to get some 4.1 or 4.3 diff gears before I install it though.

ENGINE MODS:

The car has some airflow problems that's holding the power back. It's still got the stock intake pipe that doesn't handle high airflow well so I've ordered an Apexi style alloy intake pipe and K&N filter. The intercooler piping is a bit of a mix and fairly restrictive so I've order a full set of new pipes, I just need a generic 600x300x75 cooler to suit as well.

I think these mods will free up the engine to reach the potential of the turbo, hopefully 240-250rwkw at 1.3-1.4bar.

SUSPENSION:

The suspension is fairly basic with just some HSD coilovers. I've ordered some rear camber arms and front caster rods to help with alignment. Next will be Whiteline swaybars and I'd like to soften up the springs as well to 7/5 or 6/4.

WHEELS & TYRES:

I'm on borrowed wheels at the moment so I'm pricing up a set of Enkei RPF1s and Nitto NT-01 tyres, 255/40/17 all round. I don't really want to have 2 sets of wheels so I'll see how much street driving I end up doing.

Good stuff mate.

Have done well by buying a pretty damn good car to begin with. With the extra mods your doing, it should be a really good performing track and street car.

Along with the stuff your doing, get yourself a race seat, harness, fire extinguisher and finally a run on the dyno to check everything out and you'll be set.

Cheers, I'm stoked with the car. It's got a Recaro drivers seat but I haven't tried it in an optimum seat position with a helmet on yet. Good reminder about the extinguisher, I'm sure I've got the one from my last car around somewhere still.

I paid for the wheels & tyres last night.

My control arms arrived today, they look very nicely crafted compared to the usual cheap arms.

Ordered F&R Whiteline adjustable swaybars today, that's most of the suspension sorted, I've just got to consider whether to change sprint rates down from 8/7.

Swaybars & intake pipe with K&N filter arrived today. The intake pipe will need some cleaning up inside.

Can't fit them yet, the rear end is apart until i fit the swaybar, arms and springs. The rear strut tops are a real pain to get to on the S14, and I'm nervous about getting in the car when its only on stands

All the arms, swaybars and springs are in. Test fitted the wheels and they sit perfect, just tucked inside the guards. Excuse the crappy iphone pics.

Next stage is to fit the new intercooler and piping, and intake pipe. I'm also going to wrap my car in a new colour, probably black.

Enkeis are 17x9+22 with 255/40/17 tyres. They don't look as wide as I expected but they fit perfect.

I'm not sure yet, I backed it out of the driveway then straight back in to pull the front end off. I'll give the guards a bit of a love tap and there's clearance to the struts. It should be alright at full lock with the standard tie rods and ends, I don't need crazy drift lock.

The car is finally back together, it took a lot more work than I expected to fit the cooler piping. I took it to my shop today to start wrapping it in black.
