the track is in hobart...its not logistically/legally possible to finish the event and make it back to the ferry on the saturday...it has been done by sam cornell...but yeh, definately not advisable...

permits are no dramas...the insane drifters have used them without any real hassles the last few trips down...just drive sensibly and you wont have any dramas...

where are the drivers entry forms and costs for entering etc.

Also if you passed scrutineering at a CAMS practice day will you pass for the event? or are their other rules for actually events?

entry forms will be available hopefully by the end of the week...

had to get the practice day over and done with before we released entry forms... :)

scruitineering at competition days are alot more strict...so best go over everything and be sure everything is 100%

Will headlights and body protruding tow points be compulsory yet?

i'm pretty sure some sort of working light at the front of the car will be compulsory, for the qualifying runs, and at least an easy to locate and hook onto tow point will be minimum, but i'm sure Lazy will confirm

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

as nick said :)

the tow point is a requirement to streamline the event and get urself even more track time...previous tow times have been ridiculous due to insufficient towing points taking 15mins at times to remove a car...15 mins is quite potentially 40 odd runs

What is better a tow hook or tow loop ?

aslongs as its protruding or easily accessible it doesnt matter...

I think the way I did mine is pretty good for anyone looking to do it an easy way.

Front one goes from the bolt holding on the reo to the front, rear one is a loop with a high tensile bolt to hold it in one piece and d-shackle onto the tow hook with a thin hole cut in the rear bar. :)
