Tool at BDO this year was the best, seeing Danny play live was awsome just because seeing his drumming and how he plays was really interesting to watch.

Queens of the stone age a few years ago was good at the Thebby in Adelaide, free tickets helped

I actually liked Steve Vai, he's a chop but still put on a good show.

 

The worst i've been to was a local gig where a fight broke out between 'rage dancers' and the lead singer of one of the bands. The lead singer got tossed out of the gig.

NAS in Brixton (London) with dizzee rascal. near the end two shots ring out, some dude got shot in the shoulder and the anti gang task force (complete with machine guns) came and shut it down.

Also worth a mention, Spun Rivals - f**king rock out at every gig, and Little Red - the most fun band I know. Both are local (Melbourne) bands, and play fairly often. Also from Melb - Because of Ghosts - now touring Canada.

 

Worst gigs:

Richard Buckner @ Corner Hotel earlier this year - was with Edith Frost, which almost made up for it

Going to see Ozzy Osbourne 16th of March or something in Melb, should be great.

completely forgot i created this thread. i've got a new 'best gig' to add to my list

 

IRON MAIDEN in Sydney.

 

was a fair effort to get there - got free tickets on Friday before the show, had to hire a car Sunday morning to drive from Canberra to Sydney, got back to Canberra at about 3am Monday morning and started work completely deaf and unable to talk at 8 that morning.

 

i'd happily do it 3 times a week to see Maiden play. brilliant show!
