Recommended Posts

Does anyone have the RDA front slotted rotors on their S14a 200sx?? And if so, are they any good?? My rotors are warpped and I'm looking for a small upgrade.

Any feedback on these bad boys is appreciated..

For the price I think they are ok.

I got DBA slotted front and rear through my work, but before that I was looking at the RDA rotors on Ebay.

They have to be better than standard, so good luck!!!

call around, they are usually pretty cheap.

I'll be going ofr RDA over DBA purely for cost. the slots go all the way to the edge aswell unlike some dba....

Yeah, I got RDA slotted rotoers on the front of my S14. Had them for 10,000K's with no dramas, i.e. no sign of shuddering. Plus the slots look better than the DBA ones. Only thing the hub part is not painted like the dba ones..

cheers

I heard from a few Brake specialist places that the RDA especially the slotted ones are better designed because the grooves/slots goes right to the edge of the rotors, compared to the DBA ones.

This inturn will dissipate dust/water/heat better i believe?!

RDA's are very good for the price. One of the best upgrades for the car but better with performance pads. Try Bursons u can't go wrong.

I have had RDA slotted rotors with Project Mu "B Spec" pads for several months now - much better braking peformance. My old rotors were slightly warped but they used to fade very quickly under heavy breaking. Just make sure you buy a can of degreaser to remove the special oil they put on them at the factory and then but a can of high temperature spray paint and paint the hub section before you fit them on the car. I have a picture of them on my car if you want it PM me with your email address
