1/4 Mile Times

Hi all,

 

Wanting to know what sort of 1/4 mile times u guys can get and with what sort of mods. Particularly interested in the 180sx 1/4 mile times but all are welcome to brag.

15.7 in my S14 series 1 , FMIC, AVCR, 3" turbo back, Emanage, Air filter etc. Car is running like a peice of SH!T!!!!! still trying to work out what is wrong :lol:

12.0 - 180 with slicks

12.1 - 180 with 225 street tyres

 

12.0 - My Datto with 195 street tyres!!!

My 180 ran 13.0@113mph ~210-220rwkw

 

Hoping for a about 11.7@119mph with the new silvia.

I'm not sure of the whp, but my best is a 13.6@104 on a 10PSI t28. I'm running 18PSI now... I need to get back to the track! (and dyno)

Yeah right, exhaust and small tune????, are you sure you didn't accidently press the 2 instead of the 3 to make 13.8, because that would sound alot more believable.

 

 

I am more then happy to show you videos, timeslips, dyno graphs or even give people a hidding on the street.

 

Ask wiplash (mark) as he knows my car and seen it run.

But to ask a serious question...

 

Would Humid, Hot, tropical country with an altitude of close to 700M above Sealevel cause the crappy 1/4mile times I was gettin?

I have only taken my 180 out once and ran a 13.701 on 10psi with pod and exhaust.

 

I might take it out again soon seems how i got a few more mods.

Are we talking bout a v6 commo Borgen111? If not your time doesnt sound right at all. I saw someone run a vs commo with a cat back exhaust with cold air intake and K&N panel filter and he only got into the 16's.

VT did come with GenIII in the later series' instead of the LOL-able 304's

LS1 will run that time all day with exhaust and edit tune,thats their strenghth,stopping and going round corners is where they run into trouble :yes::yes::yes::yes:

I will try and send you some vids when i work out how to get it from vhs to tape. I will send you a pm with msn addy when i get back from holidays as I am on a very crappy comp up here.

 

To answer some questions by other people; yes it is a gen3 and yes it will do 12's all day and it is very crappy around corners and stopping. :)

Bobgen111 I totally belive you mate. Some die hard Nissan buffs just have a hard time coming to terms that the Gen3 V8 holden can do consistent high 12's I use to have an SS commodore and i know what there capable of.

dont know about the light tune bit and getting 12's. a mate has a monaro with gen3.

 

full exhaust with extractors

bigger throttle body

bigger air flow senaor

cold air intake

re-tuned ecu and trans software done by Martin Donnin

 

and it only gets 13.8 down the 400m.

 

this is a more realistic time for a light tune gen3

 

still better take it easy as you might bend your pushrods

 

cant believe they still use them holden should spend money on R&D and not so much on advertising then they might have what the japs had 10 years ago.

but thats my opinion.

Tell him to release the handbrake :lol::lol::lol: My mates VT has exhaust, edit tune, intake , runs 13.0 in an auto

 

 

The Dodge Viper still has pushrods and the new Vette runs 11's stock with pushrods,not sure if any imports can match those cars stock :no::no::no:

 

 

Dont be narrow minded,leave it to the bogans who hate imports

How r u guys getting mid 13's in S13 platform cars with hardly any mods??

 

I know a few people who own S13's including myself and generally its hard to get them go below a flat 14 on the street (g-tech times)

 

Is it just cuz the track is more accurate and stickier?

i have a red rocker cover sr20 det. The mods r as follows:

 

gtr front mount

walbro fuel pump

malpassi

740cc injectors

apexi power fc

pod filter

tomei 256 degree cams

gt3540

51mm external gate

spaghetti manifold

3inch exhaust

rb25 gearbox modified to suit sr20 (with modified tail shaft)

 

375 rear wheel horse power, 12.1 at 124mph on 18 inch mags. on slicks im only guessing but i think maybe mid 11s
