Hey guys new here, Ok done my best to scour this site for all information needed please dont tell me just to 'chuck a sr20det' in it as this is the engine ive decided to stick with since we had most of the stuff available and cheap to do for a project not after huge power (yet, turbo is the long term plan) and i know about the bonnet clearance issue but im sure I can get it to fit. (sitting it low, maybe a custom bonnet mould or foward facing plenum?) So far this is the shopping list: R31 donor car A31 cefiro/R32 crossmember Ford Cortina mounts 'C' stamped gearbox crossmember R32 radiator whitline sway bar tailshaft ?!?!?! diff??? Weld up a bash plate to protect my low sump a good idea? I'm also pretty handy on a welder so I dont mind cutting and welding If thats whats needed to make this project cheaper/easier Is there anything else I'm missing??? Possible to keep A/C? (lol) Thanks in advance I'll make a build thread when i get this project underway

When I bought it, all it had an HKS exhaust, HKS pod filter and unknown brand intercooler. Since purchase, after two different turbo setups, I have spent about $40k on it, all parts genuine. I would really like to keep it, but with 1 new baby and plans for another in the future, I would like to get something a bit more standard and easier to store down my driveway. The engine conversion was engineered. car recently tuned by ESP to 280KW at rears. The car still needs some work. The paint is very rough; the Final Konnexion Body Kit is second hand and not yet fitted. Due to the car sitting for a 3 year period during turbo/ intake manifold change. The engine has been found to have pretty poor compression (showed up after tuning). Car still runs and drives fine apart from compression issue ($1000-1500 for Replacement engine) The pics are just ones that I had on my computer, can take new ones if people want more info PM or message 0431900505
  3. I have for sale a brand new CES Racing twin dump pipe to suit either SR20, CA18, RB20 or RB25 motors. This particular dump pipe I was told is the best twin dump pipe you can get for an internally wastegated turbo SR20 motor. I bought this through Mercury Motorsport but have not fitted it seeing I have sold car. It comes painted in mat black and has been tested to give gains of 20kw.   4. WTS. Got a rb25det series 2 judging by the exhaust cam gear were the sensor goes in. New gates racing timing belt and pulleys. New water pump. New thermostat. New cam seals, crank seals. Sump resealed and painted. Block painted. New rocker cover gasket kit fitted. Rocker covers painted. China FFP and 80mm tb. Top feed fuel rail. Also got a 25 gearbox to go with it. Need to sell for funds for workshop. Looking to get rid of them as a package deal $2800ono will make it cheaper if I install it at my workshop with a cheap labour rate.   6. For sale is a rb25 5 speed with sr20 bell housing fitted and steel 3rd gear selector fork. Bell housing was built be Eleventen Engineering in Adelaide. Check him out of Facebook he does heaps of these bell housings. I chose Eleventen because they use a proven jig to make sure everything lines up right. The box also has a aftermarket 3rd gear selector fork fitted, also built by Eleventen. This is a steel fork which replaces the week original alloy one. Comes with clutch fork, and specially modded thrust bearing carrier which aligns the box to the correct height for a Sr20 clutch. No shifter (pick up a rose jointed short shifter from eBay). This is one tough box for your Sr20 powered ride. Box is located in Beacon Hill near Dee Why on Sydney's lower northern beaches. $2300 represents good value - $1500 for rb box+ $150 sr bell housing + $500 for conversion + $$$ for labour + $$$ for billet selector.

    I have for sale a bee*R rev limiter, it's in vgc brand new never used. I took it out of the box but never got to install it in my car before I sold it, suits all rotary, 4 and 6 cylinder engines. Asking for $150 but I'm negotiable.
  8. RB25 S14 Daily

    K, so after watching Mighty Car Mods and their Cuore, I was kinda tempted to get one. Cheap to buy, cheap to register, insure and fill up and what not. I had a mate working at a car auction place and he said that they had a Cuore for sale real cheap, so I was like "yeah sick, I'll come have a look". Went there, walked around, couldn't find it. I asked a dude and he did't have a clue so I was a bit confused haha. As we were walking back down to the front, I saw a s2 s14 sitting in the yard. I asked the guy if it was for sale and he said it's one of the other employers cars and that he might sell it. Winning! So we went to talk to the dude and he was kinda keen to sell it. Went and had a look at it. It was stock as a rock sr20det. I was super keen until I looked inside and saw it was auto! We did some talking and ended up getting it for $3700. Bargain! The paint was pretty shitty and it had 297,000 on the clock. On the way home from the car yard, Had to take it for a test skid. I couldn't drive it coz I was on my P's at that time. she cut a few loops haha. I was set on doing a manual conversion myself, but I wasn't too sure. I had a s1 r33 in the backyard too that I was working on and my mates and my brother just said put the 25 in the 14. I was intrigued and after doing some research, I found some McKinney Motorsport solid engine mounts. This meant I could use the standard cross member which was nice. No F'ing around with power steering. Ahh, bugger it, too much typing. Here's some photo's of my time with the car. Enjoy.

    Got a brand new Hypergear SS1 turbo, originally for my RB20DET but im going to have to part ways with the car soon so no longer required. Bought it brandnew a few weeks ago including Braided oil feed line and adjustable actuator currently set at 14 psi. Just trying to recoupe my money I bought it for. $1100 Neg.   11. Hey everyone just wanted to get some in site into what parts I need to purchase to swap my recently blown 6speed to rb25 5 speed into my 200sx s15. Obviously I need the gearbox but apart from that I have no Idea what parts I should NOW be looking for. E.g. do I get a skyline clutch and flywheel or a 200sx one? Do I need a skyline tailshaft? If someone who has already done this or knows exactly what is needed could let me know what they did/I need to buy and any tips, it would be greatly appreciated as I have no car atm and would love to get the problem fixed ASAP!!   12. So I’ve decided to put this up because im bored, should be studying and have an excuse to keep some documentation of my progress/spending lol. Let’s start shall we Long ago in a garage far away, was me. With the absolute bare minimum of knowledge in cars and a desire which clouded my judgement… This lead me to my first Silvia… Oh the times I had in that car… awful, awful times. Apart from all the paint being crap and evidence it had been in some serious crash in the past and fixed on the cheap, the car came with other great features like, the headlights not working, a lack of servicing over the past few years, a busted auto transmission (no 1st or overdrive) and my personal favourite, a split in the TOP of the fuel tank After 12 months of headaches, plenty of cash spent, a stolen recon transmission and learning A SHIT LOAD it was time to let it go. On came car 2, my E30 318i. The car was a treat, drove great and super reliable... it was a great change to say the least. But the calling for another Silvia came when I stumbled across Nigels silver on gray masterpiece (amongst other great examples). As fun as the E30 was, it was time to let it go (pass it on to my younger sibling) and get back in an s13. I happened to find one for the right price and wasn’t hesitant to snap it up. When I bout it it had: -Kei Office Coilovers -t28bb -Larger fuel pump -Intake -FMIC -3’’ turbo back exhaust It made 180rwkw @12psi and this was more than enough to keep me happy for a few years As it was my daily and I was so reliant on it, I never got much of an opportunity to work much on it. Few things still did occur: -Coilovers out (left rear knocking bad) – standard suspension in -r33 gtst LSD -s15 GT leather seats -nismo side skirts -modified a VW bora front lip to attach to my front bar After having some issues with the turbo, it left me without a car for a few weeks and realised that I wasn’t able to go without, so I sought out for a new daily. It had to be reliable and sort of cool… what else than a past love… For the condition it was in and the price I paid, I was now able to get serious with the sil. I've now sold the SR package (still to be taken out) and got a new friend to jam in there Along with all the trimming... well, some anyway Its going to be a pretty slow paced build, but in the coming weeks, the SR will come out, the 5 stud and brake upgrade will be installed and further stripping will be done. After that, im going to be pulling down the engine, do some tinkering and get it ready I've got plenty of parts lying around to go in, so there’s enough to keep me busy for a while It’s a long way off, but it’ll get there… probably… hopefully
  13. ok so I am installing a mac valve to control boost on my rb25. its using a link g4 plugin. the old wiring is gone and I have found the output for the std solenoid but need a ign switched 12v. am I able to use one of the eccs 12v switched output on the ecu(I have a spare output)? it will just save me add more wiring to the car and keep the install neater.
  14. RB25 Fan Clutch

    Is there any advantage / disadvantage to running the GKTech Fan on a SR20DET using the RB25 clutch in place of the SR20 clutch? I know the hole PCD is about half a hole out, however, I would have them slotted to suit.

Ok, First, YES, I HAVE SEARCHED I am currently doing an RB25 conversion into my S14a, Ran into a couple of minor issue's and considering the amount of times this has been done I figure there must be somebody with answer's, Power steering Lines: I am using an R32 Crossmember and mounts/Brackets, Obviously the high pressure power steering line off the S14 crossmember will not fit the R32 crossmember, The low pressure line is easy, but what does everyone do with the high pressure line? I have seen some people say they just bend it, To me, thats dodgy as hell as it is not even remotly close and I am too picky for that crap, I want to use a set of R33 lines I have as it will suit the 25 pump and fit the crossmember perfectly but the ends to the rack are different, Is there a place that can make up this line, (I'm in Brisbane) Also the little (guessing pressure switch) in the high pressure line is on the opposite side, Might just get the wires lenthened but thought it may be possible to also have that changed? Can anyone help? Question 2: Sump/Swaybar Clearence: What does everyone do in this case,I have been told I will need to mod the sump to fit, Also spoke to a lad that just elongated the mount holes on the engine plates and moved the motor back about 15mm, Another that said they had no probs, Anyone had any experence/advise with this? Any other little tricks/issues would be much appreciated, Thanks.
  16. hey guys need some urgent help, I've got an rb25 in my 180 it having issues getting it going to get it tuned we've just gone and fitted up a new turbo, manifold and done an injector swap on my RB25, and while everything was pulled off i tidied up the wiring under the dash, it has a custom loom but in the initial wire up I forgot to add the unswitched power as we had troubles saving the map on the power fc last tune so i thought this may have been the cause, but now we've gone to power everyhting up to set the injector values before we start the car and the fuel pump relay is constantly clicking. I have the fuel pump neg on a switch so i can isolate that and when i do we can hear a feint clicking in the coil packs (disconnected the to check if it was). I've now disconnected all the wires i had played with and checked the power wires to the eccs relay but it still happens, If i check earth continuity at the relay i can get a beep on the multimeter on three pins, and there fore back at the fuse panel. could it be the relay has shit itself, as i though this shouldnt happen or with the power on will this happen. If any one has any ideas just throw them in the ring, I don't have another computer (stock or fc) at the moment to check if it will work with that but i can't see that i would have damaged anything in the computer so this shouldn't be it. I've tried a couple of things but any other ideas will be welcomed, Cheers Nick
  17. i have a 180sx i have upgraded to a built s15 motor and the 5 speed gearboxs arent holding up any more i am looking to swap to a rb 25 or z32 box but witch way to do is best ive seen some kits out there and im not to keen on putting a spacer between the fly wheel and motor seems dodgey is there a good spacer kit out there? ive been leaning towards the ets kit (engineered to slide) but want to know if there is better ones out there cheers

I tried to get out of imports when i parted with my previous 32 4door around 8months ago, but i couldnt hack driving around in a vt for very long and before i knew it i had another 32 in the driveway. As much as i wanna bury a heap of cash into this, im holding back as i plan on travelling at the end of this year and the car will have to be sold to fund this. So keeping mods to the bare minimum at this point.     This is my 180sx. I've had it for a bit over 12 months. Everything on this car is reasonably cheap but ohh so reliable. It's registered, but the only street time it sees is before and after Friday night drifts. Here's the specs....   20. Hi guys, Did a search but no definite results... I'm looking to upgrade the fan on my s15 to the RB25 unit. Wondering about levels of difficulty and parts needed + average costs (so I don't get ripped off)... Will I need just the fan blade? Or the blade plus the centre bit? Or will I need those two plus a new shroud? (As far as I can work out - The factory s15 shroud should work - just need to trim it? [possibly...]) Also, is it relatively straight forward? Or should I ask for a D.I.Y/tips? Cheers, K. (Also, if anyone has all the parts needed in Sydney then please let me know - saves me making a WTB after this....)
  21. Springvale special s14a.

    So the story starts with me coming across this s14 for a decent price. It was owned by an old man in Sunbury, which purchased it new in 98. He clocked up 250,000kms since then. Being an auto and mainly travelling freeway kms. Not a single thing was touched on the car, clean as a mf. After a comp test showing 150 across all four, seemed like a good buy. I gave the car to my mum for her to pose for awhile, untill i sold my series 1. Then the fun began.
