  1. S15 Ignition barrel jammed

    Ignition barrel is held on with security bolts, can undo them with a centre punch and hammer if you pull steering column off and put it in a vice with the bolt heads facing up. Mark a line with a paint pen across the end of steering shaft/universal joint before removing to make easier to re-align on assembly and take pinch bolt fully out of universal joint (not just loosen) to remove.

    Was planning on doing D1 WA Matsuri a few weeks ago so was trying to get car ready sans paint for a shake down run and was working long days on the car. A few days before the event I went to fit the drivers side header and the notch I'd had done didn't have enough clearance so at that point I threw the towel in. Car went back to fabricators for further chassis notching and new regs meant 3L catch can and no fluids over 500ml allowed in cab without shielding so accumulator moved from old position inside cab behind dash into the engine bay. Also had some extra bars added to the roll cage because after picking up a mates car a week before I had cage envy. Chassis notch: "]http://[/url]
