It's not so much the J's fault, it's what's popular with today's youth. They all go batshit for dubstep and hipster indie shit. Just be thankful we do still get some classics from time to time.

^ Is that because it's what's being pumped to them though? Chicken and egg scenario I reckon.

I 100% agree. A lot of it may be garbage but at least its garbage I haven't heard twice a day for the last 2 years. I actually can't bear to listen to commercial stations anymore. It makes me rage. The ads, humor aimed at morons and same f**king shit songs day in and day out f**k!

Aussie Radio sucks, no matter the station imo, but i dont enjoy talk back radio unless its an actual good topic in which 99/100 topics are not.

In my previous job i would drive for 45mins to work, at times i would get atleast 30mins of driving and swap between all major stations for absolutely nothing...
Been meaning for a while now to swap to Digital Radio and see if its any better....

Digital radio = problem solved?

Triple M (after breakfast shows etc) isn't too bad, any station will be repetitive eventually.

Someone had mix on at work the other day. Literally wanted top myself after 10 minutes of adds. At least triplej has no commercial adds. My main hate of radio. No f**king way I want to come to work and be bombarded with commercials for 8+ hours. Makes my blood boil.

wasnt made for you to bump after 6 months

I was raised on triple J, parents still listen to it. Their in there mid 50's dad started listening when it had just started and called double J, even has the original 2 T shirts of the pink shirt withg musical symbols and the exploding head from the 70's that my lil bro now wears
Hell I remember in primary school they were pumping the likes of Korn and my mum even rang up and complained that there was a remix of "got the life" on the hottest 100 CD instead of the original :D

They go through cycles. Couple of years ago it was all hip hop, before that more rock , atm indie
I listen to it and only like 1/3 songs.... but its better than only liking 1/10 songs and then 20 min of adds

how good would it be if sam simmons and dools got hold of the morning or afternoon shift. I saw shitty trivia live with sam and dools at the fringe this year and it was f**king hilarious.

Paul Mikey & Sandman were the best morning team, Merrick & Rosso in the afternoons.

Tight-arse tuesdays were the funniest shit going, Merrick & Rosso's prank calls and their sketch about (i think) a TAFE with some dodgey German named Helmut always going on about his hot tub and a cast of idiots.

Sandman was my hero! "I choose to start the story now".

and he jumps on everyones else show all day talking his f**k shit. f**k i hate him. if him and tom ballard f**ked each other and died from aids i wouldnt even be upset.

Stav and jake are the best presenters they have, sooooo good. i wish they did more than 1 pre dawn a week.
